Mummy & Me

Life with a new baby is joyful and exciting, but can also be overwhelming and isolating. Postnatal Yoga supports you in reclaiming your body, after 40 weeks of sharing it with your baby. By strengthening and aligning the body and re-focusing some attention on your own needs, you will be better equipped to make informed and conscious choices as a mother.

The class is designed for mums and their new babies – from 6 weeks. Dads also welcome!

A chance for mums to reconnect with their bodies and get back in shape, focusing on problem areas like tense neck & shoulders, restrengthening the core and toning the pelvic floor muscles.

The first half of the class is designed for the mums and then it’s time to have focused fun with your babies. We sing songs and the babies get a good stretch too.

It’s a happy class and a great opportunity to meet new mums in your area.

There is a free on-site car park and the hall is bright & airy, with lots of room for your buggies.

I’d previously been going to Helen’s pregnancy yoga class which I’d really enjoyed so it’s been great to be able to continue practicing what I’d learnt but this time with my baby. This is the only class I do which has a focus on the well being of mum as well as baby – gentle yoga for me, rhymes and movement for my baby. There’s a nice, social element and I always leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and like I’ve given some good time and love to both myself and my baby. This group is great for mums and babies as mums get to exercise and it’s tailored to meet mothers’ body needs. The second half is for the children – me and my son thoroughly enjoy the group and I recommended it to a friend who equally enjoyed it. After the class I feel less stiff and far more energised – it’s a great way to improve your well being, connect with your body, baby and other mums.
